The bells from bicycles sting my ears. There is a reason why is it called pedestrian pavement and not cyclist pavement. So, do cyclists have the right to ring even from 10 metres away and have people scrambling out of their way? Goodness, the working/schooling poor souls are already dragging their feet home and the happy families are out for an evening stroll; and there, hear the ring! It's giving everybody an adrenaline rush while the cyclists blithely whiz by.
